Delightful Christmas Sugar Cookies

It’s Christmas season once again! This Christmas will surely be different due to the pandemic. There are also some people all over the globe who can’t have a proper celebration due to unfortunate circumstances. Some may have lost their jobs or have lost their loved ones to the virus. This year, we decided to give back to the community and bake Christmas sugar cookies to those in need. We plan to hand them out to orphanages and homeless people we pass by. In this way, not only do we touch their lives and let them know that somebody cares, but we’d like them to enjoy these simple sweet treats, too.

I also plan to give away these Christmas sugar cookies to family and friends. Baked with love, I’m sure they will appreciate it. Every one in the family will help out and we will bake hundreds of batches of cookies to give away. I’m sure it will be tiring but worth the effort. We’ve already purchased the supplies and started our first batch over the weekend.

Tips in Baking Christmas Sugar Cookies

Before we get started, I’d like to share with you some tips on how to bake cookies. These tips will help you create perfect cookies with less wastage.

  1. Chill the dough- this will help you create perfect shapes because they’re easier to cut. Chilling also helps prevent the cookies from being too sticky and spreading out while baking.
  2. Use parchment paper – Line your cookie pans with parchment paper to prevent the dough from spreading out too thin. This also makes it easier for you to lift the cookies. Plus, you can just place another sheet of parchment paper on the cookie pan and bake another batch.
  3. Use a hand or stand mixer – This helps you save time and effort. However, make sure you do not overmix the sugar and butter or the dough will be too thin.
  4. Make the dough in advance – Preparing the dough in advance saves time and effort. You can allot the whole day just for making the dough. To store, cover with plastic wrap and keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. Make sure you thaw the dough at room temperature before rolling and cutting.
  5. Use a cooling rack – A cooling rack is specifically made to cool the cookies. If you don’t cool your cookies they may become soggy. Kitchenatics cooling rack has 1-inch legs that provide ample ventilation for perfectly baked cookies.

Let the Baking Begin!

I hope that these tips will help you bake perfect Christmas sugar cookies. If you don’t know what to give as gifts this Christmas, these will be perfect as gifts.
