Remember the movie “Meet Joe Black” where Brad Pitt loved peanut butter so much that he would spoon it from a jar and eat it? Yeah, I do that, too! Even with Nutella! I like the creamy peanut butter so much that I have it for dessert. Sometimes I spread peanut butter on bananas and snack on it.
Delightful Peanut Butter Cups
Every time my niece comes over, our bonding time is always about making chocolates. This time, we both decided to make peanut butter cups! It was actually my niece who got the idea because she loves Reese’s so much! She even suggested that we melt all the Reese’s and pour them into the silicone candy molds — what a smart kid!
Let’s Have Some Fun!
My niece is so adorable when she joins me in the kitchen! She has so many stories to tell and even talks about her classmates and their parents HAHA! I think she is turning into a little gossip like me. Anyway, she was going on and on about her classmate who gets picked up by a different car almost every day but that she doesn’t see the mommy or daddy. I’m imagining that her classmate has rich parents who are too busy traveling. I asked her if she is friends with her classmate. She said “no, coz he’s a naughty boy.” That made me sad — imagine having all the luxuries in life but your parents don’t have time for you. Made me feel sentimental and lucky that I get to spend time with my family.
Anyway, we are almost done cooking the peanut butter and chocolate. I turn off the heat and let my niece mix the chocolate. Can’t risk the little one getting burnt! She’s also turning into a little cooking enthusiast just like me and her mom! She is getting so excited now and asked for a spoon so she can taste-test the chocolate mixture!
Here’s our masterpiece recipe for Peanut Butter Cups! I hope you will enjoy it as much as we did! Don’t forget to share this with your friends, too!
