Guilty Pleasures No More
Of course, I know that you promised to lose unwanted fats and eat healthy all the time. However, you now know why eating chocolates in moderation should no longer make you feel guilty.
In choosing the right chocolates, you need to know your chocolate varieties.
- Unsweetened, 85-100% – Are bitter to taste but add the most intense chocolatey flavor to cookies.
- Bittersweet, 65-80% – Also used often for cooking purposes. 70% variety is the most recommended healthy form of a chocolate snack.
- Semi-sweet, 35-60%- Contains more sugar and is less healthy for those who want to avoid sugary snacks.
- Milk chocolate, 10-20%- The most popular but the least nutritional of all chocolates. However, everyone and their mothers will swear that this is the sweetest, most delicious snack in the world!
- White chocolate, 0%- In the real sense, it is not chocolate because it is made only of chocolate butter and sugar at 55%. Sadly, it has no nutritional value. (Source: proflowers.com )
Personally, I am just too happy because I have found a reason to indulge in my favorite treats!
